Blue Goldstone This is one of my favorite gems, isn't it beautiful? Blue Goldstone is not a natural gemstone- it's man made- but it's gorgeous nonetheless.
Goldstone This is the brown version of the above gem. It's exactly the same as it's blue sister, except for the color.
Tiger's Eye This is a cool gem, because when you first look at it, it's just brown, but turn it to the light, and it becomes shiny, as shown in the picture (left).
Garnet This is January's birthstone. Here is a couple interesting things about the garnet: Currently, the world's largest supply of garnets is the continent of Africa. In December 1996, a student in Central Australia discovered what is thought to be the largest single garnet ever found - measuring nearly one hundred feet across! |
